by Josh
 7/5/2007 7:03 AM
I got my cast off. I'm ready for sports again. Doctor Babin said that if I keep breaking bones he is going to be a rich doctor.

Friday Night at Pymatuning Holeshot I crashed on the back double and broke my left arm and left eye orbit and suffered a medium grade concussion. I'll be back in 6-8 weeks.

I won both moto's in the Super Mini Class at Pymatuning Holeshot Raceway on 4/28/07. I'm starting to feel more comfortable on the bike after a 16 month lay off from riding. I didn't race the following weekend because I went to the NASCAR Race in Richmond...

What a great day at Holeshot Raceway yesterday, good friends, perfect track conditions, and I didn't crash. It was good to be out of doors after a long basketball season.

 Joshua's Bio

I am ten years old and in the fourth grade. I live in northwestern PA where the mx season starts in early April and ends in mid November. The ground here is frozen and snow covered in the winter months.

During 2003, I competed a few times on a Yamaha PW 50, in the Beginner Pee Wee Class. The PW 50 was fun but I wanted something faster. In 2004, I raced a KTM 50 Pro Senior at 60 events in Ohio and Pennsylvania . The tracks that I raced on were sanctioned by “Competition Riders of America.”

My goal at the beginning of the year was to get used to the increased power of the KTM and to pass all those riders in front of me. By the end of the season, I was one of the riders up front trying to hold off other improving riders.

I enrolled in Trevor Vines’ mx school in June and worked with Trevor a few more times during the season.  His schooling gave me the confidence I needed to improve my riding skills.

In 2005, I was very successful with 52 first place and 17 second place finishes, winning the Competition Riders of America 9 yr. Championship. I started racing a KTM 65 as well. I crashed the 65 at Ohio International Raceway in October and was sidelined until November 2006 with injury. I am practicing on a KTM 85 this winter and will race again in 2007.

While sidelined from racing I was able to play basketball and baseball. I was awarded the camp hustler award at the Cleveland Cavalier Basketball Camp and made our Minor league all-star team as a pitcher and shortstop.

When I’m not racing I enjoy playing baseball, boating, fishing, sled riding and playing with friends. I am going to start shooting sports next summer too.
